Here are the rest of the facts and figures ahead of the FA Cup 4th round clash at Anfield from club statto Ged Rea.

Liverpool's record in the FA Cup (all rounds including prelims):

Pld 407, won 216, drawn 89, lost 102, goals, for 678, against 385.

FA Cup head to head: Pld 17, Liverpool 4 wins, United 9 wins, 4 draws.

The sides are meeting in this competition for the second season a row. Last year Kenny Dalglish's first game back as Liverpool manager saw the Reds lose 1-0 at Old Trafford with Ryan Giggs scoring a second minute penalty.

Steven Gerrard was sent-off against United after 32 minutes of last year's Cup clash. No Liverpool player has ever been sent off twice in the FA Cup.

Liverpool have played United in 12 FA Cup ties with their three wins coming in 1898, 1921 and 2006.

Four of the dozen ties have gone to replays - two at the semi-final stage (1979 and 1985) while the clubs have met in two finals (1977 and 1996).

The last time the teams met on this ground in this competition Liverpool went on to lift the trophy. Peter Crouch scored the only goal that day in the fifth round in 2006.

Liverpool's win at Oldham in the third round was only their second in the last eight games in this competition - the other being at Preston in 2009.

That 5-1 win over the Latics was the first time ever five different players with seven letters in their surname had scored in the same game for the club.

Only three players have scored a winning goal for Liverpool against Manchester United in the FA Cup - Daniel Cunliffe in 1898, Harry Chambers in 1921 and Peter Crouch in 2006.

Those wins in 1898 and 2006 are the only Reds victories over United at Anfield.

This is the first time since 2008 Liverpool have been drawn at home in successive rounds of the Cup.

Liverpool have never lost an FA Cup tie at Anfield under Kenny Dalglish. The 14 previous games have seen 10 victories and four draws.

In the last round against Oldham Stewart Downing and Jonjo Shelvey scored their first goals for Liverpool while Andy Carroll and Craig Bellamy netted their first FA Cup goals in a red shirt.

Since their 2006 final win, Liverpool have reached the fifth round stage once, only to lose to Barnsley in 2008.

Liverpool have reached the fifth round only four times in the last 15 seasons.

Liverpool have played 10 times in the FA Cup on January 28, winning twice but not since 1950.

The last Liverpool player to score a hat-trick in the competition was Yossi Benayoun against Havant & Waterlooville at home in January 2008.

Only two players have ever scored FA Cup hat-tricks against Liverpool - John Boag of Derby County in 1897-98 and Ray Westwood of Bolton in 1945-46.

No Liverpool player has scored in rounds three and four of the same FA Cup campaign since Steven Gerrard in 2006.

Craig Bellamy has never scored in three successive Liverpool games and needs one more goal to equal the tally of nine he scored in his previous season at Anfield (2006-07).

If United win this tie they will be only third team to knock Liverpool out of the Cup in successive seasons following Everton in 1905 and 1906 and Brighton in 1983 and 1984.

United have reached the semi-final five times in the last eight seasons and progressed to the final on three occasions.

Since losing to Middlesbrough in the fourth round in 2002 United have reached the fifth round in eight of the last nine seasons - the one time they failed to make it to the last 16 was two years ago when Leeds beat them at Old Trafford in round three.

The only time United have beaten Liverpool at Anfield in the FA Cup was in 1960 when Bobby Charlton scored twice in a 3-1 win.

They have won the FA Cup on a record 11 occasions - one more than Arsenal and have also played in a record number of finals - 18.

They have won the trophy only once in this Millennium - beating Millwall 3-0 in 2004.

United have won the trophy at Wembley nine times - two more than any other team (Arsenal).

This season Ryan Giggs will be aiming to become the first man ever to play in six Wembley FA Cup finals. Should they reach Wembley and win he will be the first to win four winners medals with one club.

Alex Ferguson has managed a team to FA Cup success on a record five occasions.

The sides have met in the fourth round three times with United winning them all. They won in 1948 and 1999 at Old Trafford and in 1960 in their only ever victory at Anfield in the competition.

Alex Ferguson will be taking charge of United against Liverpool for the 60th time. He has won 27 and lost 18 of the previous 59.

There has only been one goalless draw in Liverpool v United FA Cup meetings. That came in the first clash back in 1898.

United have won their last three games since losing 3-0 at Newcastle four days into the New Year - Manchester City away (3-2), Bolton home (3-0) and Arsenal away (2-1).

They won 3-2 at the Etihad in Round 3, racing into a 3-0 half time lead. Wayne Rooney (2) and Danny Welbeck scored in a first half which saw Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany controversially sent-off.

Welbeck has scored in each of United's last three games.

Wayne Rooney has missed his last two penalties. Costel Pantilimon saved in the Cup tie at Man City but Rooney netted from the rebound while Adam Bogdan denied him at Old Trafford in a league fixture two weeks ago.

United have failed to score in only one of their 33 games this season - at Newcastle 24 days ago.

Since drawing at Liverpool in October, United have won eight and drawn one of their last nine away from home in domestic matches.

Referee Mark Halsey is taking charge of Liverpool for the first time since April when Liverpool beat Manchester City 3-0 at Anfield.

His one previous Liverpool v United clash saw the visitors win 1-0 at Anfield in December 2007.

United have won all of their last eight games in which Halsey has been in charge without conceding a goal.
